Finding Creative Connection

In the quest for self-discovery and creative fulfilment, we may stumble upon books that will open us to new ideas. Recently, I was eagerly searching for Julia Cameron's remarkable book, "The Artist's Way", but came across another intriguing book, "Seeking Wisdom" by her. This unexpected discovery became a delightful experience. The book offers a six-week program to nurture a deeper connection with God or The Higher Power. It encourages us to communicate with the divine using our own words and perceptions.

The book brings a wonderful concept- a nurturing loving and caring God, not the one judging and punishing.

Ms. Cameron is known for the concept of writing "morning pages". This exercise is writing three pages every morning without the constraints of grammar and sentence structure. It is just writing whatever comes to mind, like a release of thoughts onto the pages.  These morning pages provide a safe space for self-expression and innermost thoughts. This becomes a liberating experience while we detach ourselves from the constant pursuit of perfection.

Traditional prayers usually focus on predefined words and rituals to seek blessings and appease God. "Seeking Wisdom" presents a personal and intimate connection with a non-judgmental and loving God. This concept invites us to embrace a relationship with god centred on guidance, protection and unconditional acceptance. It opens up a wonderful world where our prayers are conversations without being afraid of punishments or shame.

"Seeking Wisdom "encourages the ideas of genuine and authentic dialogue with God using our own words. By tapping into our own words, we can express ourselves more deeply and establish a stronger connection with God

Let's embrace this invitation to communicate authentically with a Higher Power and discover the wisdom and connection that await us.

Love with wings!

March is ending.

I am crocheting and embroidering.

There is time now because I quit my job.

My main job now is to fight the phyllodes on my right side.

Hum...They are not that benign at the moment.

But not yet dangerous either.

I have to go through a mastectomy.

Am I ever ready for that????

No. NEVER.

How am I thinking about it now?

There will be a recovery.

I will still be living to see the spring of 2023.

I will keep loving the people around me.

They will love me forever too.

The love will have wings and it will fly the world

Just like that!

Give a gift without reason : simple thing to be happy!

I was just wandering during lunch time. The shop nearby was open and not crowded. I wanted to walk around and see inside.

I felt like buying a small item for my work buddy. It was not considered as a gift usually. I didn't put in the gift bag or anything.

Just handed it over to my buddy, saying thought you will like it.

Of course, my buddy loved it. The smile says it all!

It made me happy. I felt like I was appreciated.

A simple thing, to be happy!

A chocolate! Simple thing to be happy!

I received a box of Ferrero chocolates as a gift. Actually it was a Christmas gift.

I kept it to open later. Now, it is in the fridge. I decided to open and eat it with my hubby. One piece of chocolate a day.

After dinner, it is really nice to watch something on You tube and have a piece of chocolate.

The sweetness melting in your mouth, slowly! the texture is changing on your tongue!

Chocolate releases serotonin, which stabilizes mood. that is what is making us feel happy while eating chocolates.

A small piece of delicious chocolate just makes me happy; it doesn't makes me worry about the calories. A small piece of chocolate is just makes me feel in heaven. Sitting my loved one while watching a comedy show is adding extra pleasure to it. I limit one piece for a day. Eating more will cause feeling guilty,

A piece of chocolate, a simple thing to be happy!!

High five: Simple thing to be happy

This is about  work.

The day was scheduled tight for the afternoon. For one patient, scheduled for two fillings.

She is a mom to a baby. Dentist is doing quadrant dentistry to finish all necessary work. Patient love to get fewer appointments.

Good thing is the lab sent her crown early. It came during lunch time.

Bad thing is we may not have enough time for cementation of crown and fillings.

Still we wanted to try.

Cemented the crown first. Then started fillings. During the cavity prep, patient complained about pain. So, doctor needed to give the anesthetic. But, no problem: I anticipated it and was ready. While that freezing was marinating, we did the other filling. Then came back to the first one. It went well.

We finished 10 minutes before the scheduled time. So, we did the scan for the night-guard as well!

Yeah! The team got a moment to high five! A small celebration of an accomplishment

Simple thing, to be happy!

Winning a doughnut: Simple thing to be happy

I love coffee.

It is nice to have a coffee after lunch. So on weekdays, I buy a coffee from Tim Horton's. Now is the roll up the rim time!

After a visit to buy coffee, I can Roll on the app. Oh! it was a win.

I won a doughnut! Wow!!! Cool!

Which one should I choose?  Boston cream or Sea salted Caramel doughnut?

The feeling of winning something makes me happy. A simple thing to be happy about!
